Building is a big commitment, and having an experienced designer involved from the start is essential for several reasons:
Turn your ideas into functional, well-planned designs
Maximise your home and site’s potential
Navigate building codes, regulations, and council requirements
Consider cost efficiency and buildability
Provide creative and practical design solutions
Ensure long-term value and liveability
Guide you through every stage — from concept to construction
-
The timeframe for every project varies depending on its complexity and requirements. We recommend allowing a comfortable period of around 6–12 months from the initial conversation with us through to the start of construction. This allows ample time to refine your ideas into a design that you love, obtain the necessary approvals, and find the right builder.
-
Our lead time is generally 3–6 weeks from the time we’re engaged, and the turnaround time between design revisions or drawing stages typically ranges from 2–4 weeks.
-
Our fees are based on the complexity and requirements of each project. Following our initial discussion, we will provide a fixed-price proposal that outlines our scope of services and associated fees, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.
We structure our fees into three design phases: Concept Drawings, Preliminary Drawings, and Construction Drawings — allowing our clients to progress through the design process obligation-free.
-
We’re more than happy to collaborate with your preferred builder. Alternatively, we can recommend one of our trusted local builders we’ve enjoyed working with.

For us to provide meaningful advice and guidance - both in the design of your home and in supporting your family’s long-term outlook, we need to gain a clear understanding of your short- and long-term goals.
This includes what you want to achieve with the home, how you envision your family growing or changing over time, and importantly, the level of investment you’re comfortable with (budget).
Having this information upfront helps us make recommendations that fit your lifestyle, priorities, and budget, so we can create a design that supports the way you want to live—both now and in the future.
